Jack Roberts, 46 years of age, was found dead Monday morning, shortly after 8:30 a.m. at the door of his residence at 1238 State Street. County Coroner Roy I. Anderson said that the death could be attributed to natural causes as no evidence of foul play was apparent.

Blair police were called by a neighbor at 8:26 a.m. Friday, who said that she had seen what appeared to be a body lying on the Roberts porch. The Blair Rescue Squad was immediately dispatched to the scene and found Mr. Roberts lying in front of his door. The front door of the Roberts home was unlocked, but the storm door was slightly jammed. It did, however, open when pulled by the investigating officer.

Roberts was first taken by the Rescue Squad to the Blair Hospital, where he was examined and pronounced dead on arrival. The body was then taken to Campbell Mortuary. It is not know just when Mr. Roberts died nor how long he had lain by the door.

Mr. Roberts is survived by two sons, Randy and Larry, of Blair. Mr. Roberts was married to the former Eloise Daniels. Mr. Roberts was a carpenter by trade. Other survivors include three brothers: Melvin Roberts, Dallas; Mervin Roberts of Missouri and Wayne Roberts of Colorado.
