Former Houston, Texas, resident Dallas C. Robertson, 58, of Blair, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services were Monday Aug. 4, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment was in memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas on Friday, Aug. 8.

Dallas C. Robertson was born Nov. 30, 1944, at Watertown. S.D. to Clinton and Winifred (Board) Robertson. He graduated from Pierre High School in South Dakota.

On Sept. 18, 1965, he married Lila Hagel at Ridgeview, S.D.

In 1966, he entered the United States Army. He served for eight years during the Viet Nam war, reaching the rank of Captain upon his discharge.

After serving in the military, he continued his education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He was employed as an accountant for Conoco Incorporated for 26 years, retiring in 2000.

Mr. and Mrs. Robertson lived in Houston for 27 years, moving to Blair in April 2003.

He enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, and his family was very dear to him.

He is survived by his wife, Lila; daughters and sons-in laws, Billie Jean and Dr. John Renelt of Blair; Bobbie and Steven Matthes of Houston; five grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Leonard Kaufman of Clark, S.D.

Memorials are suggested to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for lung research.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
