RITES SUNDAY FOR MRS. C. H. ROBERTSON, 71

Mrs. Chas. H. Robertson passed away last Thursday evening following a lingering illness of several months suffering.

Rachel Jane McMillan was born on a farm near DeSoto on December 17, 1871. Later the family moved to Blair, and here she grew to womanhood and graduated from the Blair schools in 1888.

After graduating she served as substitute teacher in the Blair schools, but later accepted a position in the Blair post office under John W. Boggs as postmaster. She continued in this position until her marriage to Charles H. Robertson on May 12, 1897.

Three daughters were born to this union, Mary, now Mrs. Louis Farnberg; Margaret, now Mrs. Charles H. Williams of Omaha; and Jeannette, now Mrs. Richard Weber of Omaha.

She is survived by her husband and daughters and one grandchild, Mary Lou Farnberg and three sisters, Mrs. Bess Halloway of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Fred Dickmeyer of near Orum and Miss Agnes McMillan, Blair.

Funeral services were held last Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Congregational Church with Rev. Derelle Barber officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Robertson was a woman of remarkable ability. Her ideals of life were carried out in her daily duties, and to us older ones who knew her as a school girl and later in the full maturity of womanhood, there is nothing but words of highest esteem and respect for her. In whatever she attempted to do she put her life into it and the community knew her and respected her for her virtues.
