Kenneth Pence, 78

Services for Kenneth Pence, 78 who died February 14, 1994 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 18 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Kenneth Paul Pence was born February 5, 1916 in Grand River, Iowa to David and Lottie Wadsworth Pence. He graduated from Grand River High School in 1935.

He entered the Civil Service in the Social Security Administration in Washington, D.C. in 1940. In 1942, he was transferred to Kansas City in the air Force Procurement and in 1944 was sent to Omaha as an Air Force inspector.

He resigned from Civil Service in 1947 and moved to Blair. He operated a farm equipment store in Blair until 1974. He directed the “Boys of Woodcraft,” a program sponsored by Woodmen of the World from 1952-1974.

He was a life long member of First United Methodist Church. He joined the Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star in Omaha in 1945. He was active the Gun Clubs and loved to fish and hunt.

He married Clarice Ryan in 1946.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Euclid.

He is survived by his wife, Clarice and a son, David, both of Blair and a sister-in-law, Rose Pence of Newton, Iowa.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
