Funeral Services For Maxine Penix Today

Mrs. Maxine C. Penix, 51, of 2155 Park in Blair died April 29, 1976.

Mrs. Penix was born April 6, 1925 in Omaha to Elmer Raymond Cherry and Mary Virginia Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Penix of Blair, four children, Ruth Cagne of Huntington Beach, Calif., Mrs. Gordon (Barbara) Lippincott of Blair, Larry Penix of Kennard and Keith Penix of Blair and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving her are four brothers, Don Cherry of Phoenix, Ariz., Elmer Cherry of California, Robert Cherry of Phoenix, Ariz., and two sisters, Dorothy Cross and Ruth Heikes of Phoenix, Ariz.

Services will be at the First Baptist Church in Blair at 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, with Rev. James Metzgar officiating. Mrs. Clare Cowing will provide music.

Mrs. Penix will be interred in the Blair Cemetery. Pall bearers are: Don Cherry, Elmer Cherry, Gus Heikes, Jim Heikes, Chester Penix and Gordon Lippincott.
