Former Blair Man Died After Surgery

John Penry, a long-time resident of Blair, died last Thursday, August 6th, at Blythe, California. He was hospitalized at the time following surgery from which he failed to recover. He was 72 years old.

The Penrys left Blair about five years ago and were living at Salome, Arizona. Blairites will recall that Mrs. Penry had a flower shop here for a number of years.

Mr. Penry is survived by his wife, Grace, and by a daughter, Ruby, who also lives at Solome, Arizona. A son, Vernon, died several years ago in a tractor accident during his work.

Funeral services were held at Salome Saturday and the body was flown to Fullerton, Nebraska for burial. Fullerton is the family home.
