Charlotte Pensyl, 62

Funeral services for Charlotte Pensyl, 62, of Herman, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Fremont Church of the Nazarene in Fremont. Mrs. Pensyl died at her home on July 22, 2000.

Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25 at John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel in Omaha. Funeral services will be officiated by the Rev. Tom Shaw; interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn.

Charlotte (Adams) Pensyl was born on July 26, 1937, near Valley, to Floyd Willis Adams and Alice Myranda Painter.

She grew up in the Omaha area and graduated from North High School in 1955. She joined the Women’s Army Corps and served two years as a personnel clerk, receiving an honorable discharge in 1957.

On June 1, 1957, she married Guy F. Pensyl at Shamokin, Penn. Seven children were born to this union.

Pensyl is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Guy F. and Heidi Pensyl of Herman and Ervin L. and Dana Pensyl of Kennard; a son, Arthur W. Pensyl, also of Herman; four daughters and sons-in-law, Tina M. and Stephen Halley of Arlington, Kathleen P. and Ted Shively of Arlington, Naomi I. and Rick Muncey of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Bev and Jack Wilburn of Omaha; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy; a daughter, Mary Frances “Missy”, and four brothers: Glen, John, Donald and Jarry.

Memorials are suggested to the Fremont Church of the Nazarene. John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel in Omaha is in charge of arrangements.
