Services for Peter Chris Mehrens, age 84 of Blair who died November 14, 1993, at the Crowell Memorial Home in Blair, will be Wednesday November 17 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Peter Chris Mehrens was born February 4, 1909 at Osmond, Nebraska to Fredrick and Katherine Goeres Mehrens. He attended rural schools in McLane, Nebraska. He married Ruth Wallace Dean November 11, 1953 at Las Vegas, Nevada.

He worked for the Hood Corporation in Los Angeles, California as an operating engineer doing pipeline construction. In 1967 they moved to Blair where they owned and operated Advance Cleaners until retiring in 1974.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, two brothers and one granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Shirley Hall of Tucson, Arizona; stepdaughters, Shirley Gorman of Peoria, Illinois and Carolyn Matloff of Pomona, California; sister, Rosella Bertwell, Sparks, Nevada; two grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
