Gerald F. Meier, Fremont, died at his home of natural causes Friday, September 25, 1987.

He was born November 29, 1924, in rural Herman to Ernest and Bertha (Kerkhoff) Meier.

He grew up and lived on a farm southwest of Herman, until moving to Fremont several years ago.

He was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Services were held 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 28, 1987, at St. Timothy’s, Rev. Dana Mark officiating.

Organist was Mrs. Renae Mark. Honorary pallbearers were staff and members from ENCOR.

Pallbearers were Gene Brandt, Darrell Flake, Leland Grabbe, Marvin and Richard Meier and Rodney Rabe.

Memorials may be given to the church or ENCOR.

Burial followed in Vacoma Cemetery, Arlington.

He is survived by his brother, Eldon Meier of Nickerson, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Milton and Harlan Meier.
