Janette A. Wood, 87

Janette A. Wood, 87, of Blair, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Community Chapel. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Janette A. Garske was born May 26, 1926, in Omaha, to Reinhold “Podge” L. and Johanna (Quist) Garske.

She attended Franklin Grade School and Technical High School in Omaha. After her graduation in 1944, she worked at United Benefit Insurance Company.

She later worked for United States Fidelity and Guaranteed Insurance Company.

On May 17, 1953, she married Boyd E. Wood.

In September of 1967, they moved to Kansas City where Boyd was employed with Ashgrove Cement Company. The couple made their home in Kansas City for several years.

After Mr. Wood's death in 1989, she moved back to Blair.

She is survived by her son, Larry Larsen Sr. and wife Sandy; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Wood.

Memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Community.
