Blanche Robeson, 96 of Blair died Wednesday, Jan. 21. 1998.

Services were Saturday at First Baptist Church in Blair. Rev. Todd Schave and Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Robeson was born Oct. 6, 1901, in Tama, Iowa to Tom and Mary Estalla (Memmer) Coe.

She grew up and attended school there, graduating from high school in 1920. On Oct. 19, 1920, she married Scott C. Robeson in a ceremony in Wheatland, Wyo., where she was then living. In 1924, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Robeson purchased the Clifton Hotel in Blair and Scott and Blanche helped manage the hotel until it was sold in 1969. Due to failing health, they lived at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, where she lived until her death.

Survivors are two sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Shirley Robeson of Blair and Vernon and Mildred Robeson of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Vicki Nash of Athens, Ala.; Clark Robeson of Omaha; Curtis Robeson of Blair; and Phil Robeson of Town Creek, Ala.; 11 great-grandchildren, Joan Nash Comer of Athens; Diana Nash Blackwood of Florence, Joseph Robeson and Shelley Robeson, all of Blair; Tyler Robeson and Jill Robeson of Omaha; Jeremiah McConnell and Jonthan McConnell of Fort Collins, Colo. and Ivey Robeson of Town Creek Ala.; two great-great-grandchildren, Victoria Camille Comer of Athens; and Carley Brooke Nash of Rogersville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Scott in October 1985; her parents; a grandson, Charles Arthur Robeson and a granddaughter, Holly Elizabeth McConnell.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
