Scott Carlyle Robeson was born September 13, 1899 in Tama County, Iowa. He was the second son of Charles and Ella May Robeson. He died October 29, 1985. Robeson grew up in the Tama area and on October 19, 1920 was united in marriage to Blanche Coe in Wheatland, Wyoming.

Except for a short time in McAllen, Texas, he remained in Iowa until 1924 when he and his parents moved to Blair having purchased the Clifton Hotel. They continued in this operation until 1969 when Scott and Blanche retired.

Scott had embraced the Baptist faith and served in several capacities in the First Baptist Church. He had served a term on the city council.

In recent years, he had been in failing health and had resided, along with his wife, in the Good Shepherd Home in Blair. On October 19 of this year, they had been married 65 years.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche; two sons, Vernon of Huntsville, Alabama, and Richard of Blair; a sister Mrs. Bessie Morse of Blair; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, along with a number of nieces and nephew. The older brother, Graydon, preceded him in death.

Services were conducted from the First Baptist Church in Blair with Pastor Alan Howe and Pastor Dan Hauge of the County Bible Church officiating. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.
