Services for Arthur S. Robinson, age 69 of Blair, who died April 10, 1993 were Monday, April 12, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Terman and Dr, Howard Bailey officiating. Military burial services followed as the Blair Cemetery.

Arthur Sherman Robinson was born March 16, 1924, in rural Blair to Milton and Jessie Walter Robinson. He attended McCarthy and Blair Schools, graduating from Blair High School in 1942.

He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater of Operations, serving from 1943-1946, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant, 8th Armored Division. He was a life member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1251 in Blair.

He was baptized on March 18, 1954, and was a member of the United Methodist Church. He worked in the construction business as a carpenter all his life.

He married Arlene Ellen Jensen August 25, 1946, in Kennard, Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; four daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia Robinson of Tucson, Arizona, Rita Wilkins of Blair, Cindy and Paul Conn of Peru, Iowa and Carol Robinson of Lincoln; one son, Robert Robinson of Omaha; four grandsons, Walker Wilkins, Max Wilkins, Joshua Matzen Conn and Ethan Conn; one sister, Ruth Jensen of Fort Calhoun; one brother, Eugene Robinson of Millboro, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Lee Newell, Duane Lasher, Don Sorensen, Robert Watts, Michael Watts and Edward Watts.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
