E. J. “Base” Robinson, brother of R. H. “Hi” Robinson and C. N. “Mudge” Robinson, both of Blair, died Wednesday afternoon in Wilmington, Delaware. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mr. Robinson was born and grew to manhood in Washington County. He had been associated with the J. P. Montgomery Insurance Co. in Wilmington since 1942. He was 67 years old.

As a young man here, he became well known for his ability as a baseball player at the time when Blair was active in the Elkhorn Valley League.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, and by a son, Bob, who has became well known as a champion bowler throughout the country. A step son, Wm. R. Woods, also survives. There are eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be next Tuesday at Wilmington. Messrs. R. H. and C. N. Robinson will leave Blair tomorrow (Friday) morning by car to go to Wilmington to attend the funeral.
