Kenneth F. Robinson 73, of Fort Calhoun, died Feb. 19, 2007, in Fort Calhoun. Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Kenneth Floyd Robinson was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Creighton.

He grew up in Creighton, and served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1956. He lived in Riverside, Calif., from 1956-1959 and in Norfolk from 1959-1962, before moving to Fort Calhoun in 1962, where he has lived since.

Through the years he was a member of the Fort Calhoun American Legion; the VFW, where, from 1960 to 1970, he was VFW “Top 10” Commander; the Fort Calhoun Fire Department; and the Fort Calhoun Board of Equalization. From 1966 to 1968, he served as the part-time village marshal for Fort Calhoun. From 1968 to 1972, he was judge magistrate for Fort Calhoun; and from 1974 to 1982, he was the mayor of Fort Calhoun.

On Aug. 30, 1955, he married Fran Loney in Plainview. She survives him, as do daughters and son-in-law, Carrolyn and Paul Oestmann, and Jeannie Jones; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Gail Robinson, Mitch and Coleene Robinson, and Scott and Lora Robinson, all of Fort Calhoun; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Mitchell John Robinson, grandson, K.J. Robinson; infant great-grandson, Morgan Harold Robinson; and a sister, Bonnie Norris.
