Lewis S. Robinson, a resident of Blair for 58 years, died at the Blair Hospital last Sunday afternoon. He had been hospitalized about a week.

The deceased was born August 5, 1899 at Nevada City, California. His family moved to Omaha when he was a child and he came to Blair, as a young man in, 1919.

He was an employee of Blair Telephone Company for 18 years, having retired seven years ago at the age of 70.

His wife, the former Laura Carmichael, died in 1972 but he had continued his residence at the family home at 1543 Jackson Street. Three sons, Walter, Rollin and William had also preceded him in death.

He is survived by three daughters and three sons.

The daughters are Mrs. William Rahlfs (Frances) Blair; Mrs. Ray Lowther (Anna) of Fremont; and Mrs. Niel Paulson (Helen) also of Fremont. The sons are Leslie, of North Bend; Earl of Fremont; and Dale (Lefty) of Blair. There are 29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A sister, Madeline Geuliatt, resides in LaMirade, California and a brother, Carl lives at Wilson Springs, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church and the Rev. James Metzgar will conduct the service. Interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Michael Paulson Rodney Paulson, Francis Rahlfs, Jimmy Gordon, and Rolland Robinson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Brunk, Earl Caldwell, Clark O’Hanlon, Hugh, Richard, Emory, and Robert Hunt.
