A former Blair Woman was killed in a one-car auto accident early Thursday morning near Fremont. The deceased woman was 31 years old Mrs. Lavin Rockford of Fremont.
Mrs. Rockford was the former Lavina Cooper, born Nov. 17, 1937 at Blair. She had resided in Fremont most of her life and graduated from the Fremont schools.
Mrs. Rockford was employed at the Wilkinson Mfg. Co. in Fort Calhoun.
The accident reportedly took place 3.4 miles east of Fremont on Highway 30. The car plunged into a drainage ditch. A passing trucker noticed the auto in the drainage ditch and notified authorities.
