Mitchell (Mike) Rodell, 87, year-old Blair man, died last Thursday, February 28th at Yorkshire Manor in Fremont where he had been making his home.

Rodell was born at Blair October 25, 1886 and has lived in the county all his life. As a younger man he engaged in farming. More recently, despite his advanced years, he has worked for the City of Blair on the street department.

He was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle but is survived by two daughters, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The daughters are Mrs. Ed (Iris) Newkirk, of Arlington and Mrs. Bernard (Meta) Patton of Lincoln.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Campbell Mortuary with the Rev. Joseph Myers conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Williby, Mike Nielsen, Kenneth Jensen, James Wulf, Alvin Katt and George Mencke.
