MRS. JOHN BLATTER DIED THURSDAY

Mrs. John Blatter, well known Blair woman, died Thursday at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was a victim of cancer. She had been in failing health for a number of months and seriously ill for many weeks.

Audrey Lavern Blatter was born at Tekamah, Nebraska February 18, 1936 and was 32 years of age at the time of her death. She grew to womanhood in the Tekamah area and graduated from Tekamah High School. She was married to John Blatter of Blair in June of 1957.

She has lived in Blair with her husband since their marriage.

She is survived by her husband, and by four children. They are Tracy Ann, 10 years old; Heide Marie, 8, John William, 6 and Ted who is 4 years old.

Her mother, Mrs. Gladys Nelson, lives at Tekamah.

Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Donna Neary, of Tekamah; and Mrs. Marilyn Weigart, of Fremont. The brothers are Lester Nelson of Irvington and Kenneth Nelson of Tekamah.

Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. William Shattuck conducting the service. Burial under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Templeton, C.R. Robinson, Jr., Tom Ehlers, Ronald Jones, Tom Leehy and Russell Misfeldt.
