Herbert N. Hansen Died Suddenly Monday Morning

Death Attributed to A Heart Attack, Well Known Farmer

Herbert N. Hansen, a well-known farmer residing three miles west of Orum on Highway 91, succumbed to a heart attack Monday morning, November 30th.

Mr. Hansen was stricken shortly before 9:00 o’clock Monday morning and the Blair Rescue Squad was summoned at once. The squad was unable to revive him. Mr. Hansen, reportedly, had been in good health and had never had a heart attack before.

The deceased was the son of the late Christian B. Hansen and Sena Hansen. He was born January 11, 1917 in Washington County and had lived here all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and by two sons and two daughters. The sons are Paul, who is attending the University of Wyoming at Laramie, and Steve, who is attending the University of Omaha. The daughters, Joan and Pamela, are at home.

A brother, Leslie Hansen resides at Nevada City, California and a sister, Irene Hansen, lives at Blair. Another sister, Mrs. William Powers, (Laura) lives in Omaha.

Funeral services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum on Wednesday afternoon with services conducted by the Rev. Arden Dorn. Burial was made in the cemetery at Blair under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Gene Bunz, Alvin Katt, Velmar Katt, Russell Taylor, William Newkirk and George Mencke.
