Shirley N. Long, 79

Shirley N. Long, 79 of Blair, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Shirley N. Friedrichsen was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Kennard to Nickolas and Alma (Petersen) Friedrichsen. She was a graduate of Kennard High School.

She married James Long on July 19, 1953, in Kennard.

Mrs. Long worked for the phone company in Blair and, after her marriage, she did the book work for their business, Long’s OK Tire, in Blair.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Job’s Daughters.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Karen, Kent and Sandy, and Pat and Stacy, all of Blair; and grandchildren, Jesse, Hannah, Rory, Keegan, Nic and Jesse.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church.
