Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 12 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair for Julia Melotz, 94 of Blair, who died December 9, 1995 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Julia A. Melotz was born February 21, 1901 at Fort Calhoun to Jacob and Clara Bruse Sierk. She attended the Long Creek Elementary School and Fort Calhoun High School.

She married Paul Melotz in Blair August 27, 1924. He preceded her in death in July, 1976.

She lived in Douglas County most of her life where she and her husband owned and operated Melotz Motor Supply Company. She moved to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in 1990.

She was a member of the Douglas County Extension for over 50 years.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, an infant brother and an infant grandchild.

She is survived by her daughter, Madeline Shattuck, Blair; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Gloria Melotz, Omaha and David and Margaret Melotz, Blair; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
