MRS. EARL RODMAN

Iris Donneta Peak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Peak of this city, was born Nov. 14, 1911 on a farm south of Blair, and grew to maturity in this locality. She was educated in the Blair schools, graduating in 1929.

After her graduation she taught school at Arnold, Nebraska. On Dec. 12. 1931 she was married to Earl Rodman, the ceremony being performed at Ogalalla, Nebr. where the husband is in business.

She passed away on May 7, 1933 in an Omaha hospital, and the body was brought to her old hometown, and funeral services were held from the Bendorf funeral home on Wednesday, May 10th with Rev. A. F. Newell officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

MRS. IRIS RODMAN DIES AT THE AGE OF 21

FORMER IRIS PEAK IS CALLED BY DEATH IN OMAHA HOSPITAL

Mrs. Iris Donneta Rodman of Arnold, Nebraska, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peak of Blair and a former teacher in the Arnold schools, died Sunday night, May 7th, in Swedish Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. Born south of Blair, November 14, 1911, Mrs. Rodman spent her girlhood in this vicinity and was a graduate of Blair High School with the class of 1929. She had a wide acquaintance in this community and news of her death came as a distinct shock to her local friends.

As Iris Donneta Peak, the deceased was married December 12, 1931, to Earl Rodman and the young couple located at Arnold, where Mrs. Rodman had been an instructor in the public schools.

Surviving Mrs. Rodman are her husband, her parents and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Godfrey, who lives at Lena, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock from the Bendorf Funeral Home and interment was made in the Blair cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Arthur F. Newell and boys from high school classes served as active pallbearers while girls with whom Mrs. Rodman formerly attended school in Blair served as honorary pallbearers.
