Services were Sat., Oct. 12 at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Neb., for Ruth L. Roewert, 66 who died October 9, 1996 at Faith Regional Health Services Lutheran campus. Rev. William Hering officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Norfolk.

Ruth L Roewert was born Nov. 13, 1929 in Meadow Grove, Neb. to Grover and Willavee Saltz Chatham.

She married Rueben Roewert Aug. 8, 1948 at Tilden. They lived in Columbus and Fullerton before moving to Norfolk in 1976. She worked as a hostess for a Norfolk restaurant.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Rueben; four sons and daughter-in-law, Steven of Blair, Timothy and Rose of Blair; Ricky of Omaha and Philip and Rosemary of Hastings; two daughters and sons-in laws, Suzanne and Daniel Hofmann and Rozanne and Kenneth Funk, all of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; four sisters, Bertha Jean Fowler of Crete; Donna Eckert of Norfolk, Ida Mae Bullock of Norfolk and Glenda Lee of Helena, Mont. and two brother, Lloyd Chatham of Norfolk and Lyle Chatham of Panama City, Panama.

Pallbearers were Jason T. Roewert, Nicholas J. Roewert, Tyler P. Roewert, Eric D. Hofmann, Eric A. Funk and Michael Mefford.

Howser-Fillmer Mortuary in Norfolk was in charge of arrangements.
