Kenneth J. Rogers of Arlington died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

A memorial service was held Monday, Feb. 13, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont and a Masonic service, conducted by Hiram Lodge No. 52 A.F. & A.M. was held Sunday, Feb. 12, at Moser Memorial Chapel.

Kenneth J. Rogers was born October 18, 1940, in Carroll, Iowa, to Merrill and Florence (Poller) Rogers and was raised on a farm in Carroll County. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1958 and from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, in 1962.

His insurance sales career took him to several communities in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska. He had lived in Arlington since 1998.

He attended Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. He was a member of Chapter Z of the Gold Wing Touring Association, member and EMT of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department; member of the Nebraska Volunteer Fire Fighters Association; and a member of Hiram Lodge No. 52 A.F. & A.M., of Arlington.

He was also a member of Tangier Shrine of Omaha, Shrine Clowns, where he was known as “Patches the Clown”, and was a member of the Royal Order of Jesters Court No. 19.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Lynda Rogers of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters and son-in-law, Kris and Thomas Epperson of Auburn, Calif., and Karmin and Paul Debey of Leawood, Kan.; three step-daughters and spouses, Annette and Tyler Knott of Pisgah, Iowa, Elizabeth and Jon Skillern of Shenandoah, Iowa, and Stephanie and David Evans of Hamilton, Ohio; three stepsons and spouses, Bruce and Terri Garcia of Federal Way, Wash., Paul and Teresa Garcia of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Michael Garcia of Omaha; two sister and brother-in-law, Eloise and Danny Anthony of Newton, Iowa, and Carolee Evans of Pensacola, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ardith Rogers, and two wives, the former Paula Peters and the former Phyllis Hicks.

Memorials are suggested to the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department, Shriner’s Hospitals, or the American Cancer Society
