YOUTH, 19, FOUND DEAD

A 1955 Blair High School graduate, Lloyd (Chuck) Rogers, 19, was found dead in bed yesterday morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Rogers, north of Blair at Tyson’s Station.

The youth had been in Blair Tuesday night with a boy friend and they had attended a movie. He returned home before midnight, went to bed and was found dead by his parents in the morning.

An autopsy conducted yesterday in Omaha showed no immediate signs of what might have caused the young man’s death. He had apparently been in good health.

The body is now at the Campbell Mortuary. Funeral rites are scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Young Rogers, at 1955 Blair High graduate, had been assisting his father in farming at their place at Tyson Station.

He was born here July 11, 1937, as Gene Lloyd Rogers.

Surviving him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Rogers; two brothers, Lyle Rogers of Fremont and Loran Rogers of Arlington; a sister, Miss Lois Rogers, at home.

Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kierscht of Blair, and Mrs. Martha Rogers of Logan, Ia.

In Blair High School, which he attended after being enrolled at Pleasant View School, Lloyd was a member of Future Farmers of America.
