Anna Peters

Services for Anna K. Peters, 90, of Blair, who died Thursday, September 11, 1986, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital, were held Saturday, September 13, at the Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Rev. Norman Schroeder of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bennington officiated. Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery in Washington.

Mrs. Peters was born February 26, 1896, the daughter of Soren and Ane Rosenkilde of Washington.

After her marriage to William J. Peters on May 29, 1918, the couple farmed two miles west of Washington until 1942 when they moved into Washington. She moved to Arlington six years ago.

Mrs. Peters was president of the Washington Lutheran Ladies Aid for 23 years and taught Sunday school for six years at the Washington Lutheran Church. She was a member of the former Washington Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Peters of Arlington; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 28, 1961. Mrs. Peters was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Alfred and Henry Rosenkilde.

Pallbearers were Harlan Liesche, Glenn Liesche, Edwin Nielsen, Leo Ray Rosenkilde, Terry Crink and Randall Schneider.

Organist was Mrs. Ruby House and soloist was Melvin Misfeldt.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home of Arlington was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the Arlington Rescue Squad.
