Services for Cleo V. Peters, 80 of Fremont who died at the Fremont Area Medical Center July 30, 1996 were Saturday, August 2 at Rozanek and Son Colonial Chapel. Rev. Dana J. Mark officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Cleo V. Hammond Peters was born January 14, 1916 at Mason, Nebraska. She lived there until she was 10 years old at which time she moved to Fremont. She has lived in Fremont since that time.

She married Donald T. Peters January 22, 1944 in Fremont. He preceded her in death September 7, 1984.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Elsa Rucker Hammond; brothers, Orvil Hammond, Ervin Hammond and Kenneth Hammond; a sister, Viola (Mrs. John) Tinglehoff and a grandson, Kelly Scheer.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Edward T. and Delores Peters of Blair; Fred A. and Mary Peters of Fremont; a daughter and son-in-law, Lila and James Scheer of Fremont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Juliane Hammond, Duane and Ruth Hammond, both of Whittier, California; a sister, Dorothy Thessen of Fremont; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Keith Peters, George Hammond, Ray Peters, Dave Christensen, Dan Hammond and John Ferguson.

Elaine Beyers was organist. Ardeth Elsberry was soloist.
