Hugh Brainard O'Linn
Died on 7/9/1899
Buried in Blair Cemetery

We take the following from the Sunday Bee which refers to a former Blair citizen and the only son of Mrs. Fannie O’Linn, formerly of this city.

H.B. O’Linn, a son of Mrs. Fanny O’Linn of this city, was killed last night at Belleville, Ill., by falling from a train. His mother was notified that her son had been seriously injured and immediately started for the scene of accident. Later in the evening another telegram was received that the young man had died. Mrs. O’Linn was notified of this when she arrived in Nebraska City and returned to Omaha. The remains will be brought here for burial.

Young O’Linn was 28 years old and was on his way home from Central America, where he has spent the last two years.

THE PILOT is asked to announce that the funeral of H.B. O’Linn – above mentioned will be held tomorrow, Tuesday. The remains will arrive in Blair at 1:55 p.m. and will be taken direct to the cemetery where the service will be held.
