FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR CLAUS ROHWER

Claus Rohwer of Blair died Monday, April 19 at the age of 78 years.

He was born October 1, 1897 at Blair. His parents were Carl and Mary Rohwer.

He moved to a farm near Wranch School at the age of 16 years and moved back into Blair in May 1974. He farmed most of his life. He was married to Violet Kruse, who survives him.

Rohwer was a member of the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church and the Solomon Lodge No. 10 at Fort Calhoun.

Surviving him are his wife Violet; two daughters, Mrs. Eric (Marilyn) Larsen, Jr., of Harnick, Iowa, and Mrs. Don (Betty) Woodhull of Blair; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Olson of Ceresco, Neb., and Mrs. Ann Andersen of Thermopolis, Wyo.; three brothers, Henry of Fort Calhoun, Harry of Omaha, and Carl of Omaha; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister Kate. Funeral services were held at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. April 21, with the Rev. Lynn Williams and the Rev. Gordon Patterson officiating.

Interment was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery with graveside Masonic Rites.

Pallbearers were: Marvin Rohwer, Russell Christensen, Jim Rohwer, Albert Suverkrubbe, Roger Larsen, and David Larsen.

The Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
