HARRY ROHWER RITES HELD SATURDAY

LIFE-TIME RESIDENT OF FT. CALHOUN DIED AT HIS HOME WEDNESDAY

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church for Harry Rohwer, 72, a life-time resident of Fort Calhoun, who died at his home Wednesday after a lingering illness.

The Rev. Don Killin officiated, with interment in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Mr. Rohwer was born May 21, 1889. He graduated from Fort Calhoun High School in 1906. During the two years following his graduation he was a student at the University of Nebraska. He lived his entire life in Fort Calhoun and farmed on the Rohwer farms up to the time of his retirement five years ago.

He was united with the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church in 1933 and was a trustee of the church for many years. He served as a member of the School Board for 25 years.

Harry Rohwer and Miss Lillian Ruth Hilkeman were united in marriage Sept. 10, 1921, at St. Louis, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; one son, William, of Fremont, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. John Coburn (Mary Ann), Pittsburgh, Calif.; Mrs. Paul Barru (Lucille), Arlington, Mass.; and Mrs. Robert Hansen (Marjorie), Fort Calhoun; seven grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Catherine Rohwer; a brother, George Rohwer, Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Geesaman, Miss Celia Rohwer, and Mrs. Helen Jipp, Blair.

Pallbearers were Howard Bilderback, John Rathjen, Paul Kruger, Sr., Otis Hawkins, Harold Swanson and William Kay.

Honorary pallbearers were Emil Kruse, Ernest Kruse, William Kruse, George Neale, Bruce Cox, William Stratbucker and Henry Kruse.

The Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
