Bernice Schneider, 75

Bernice Mildred Schneider Hale, 75, was born to Hult and Rosalie Montgomery Lowe on March 30, 1912, near Herman.

She attended Davis school and was graduated from Herman High School and Midland College of Business, at Fremont.

She was united in marriage to Lester L. Schneider of Mead on April 27, 1930.

To this marriage there were two children born, Bernice JoAnn and Richard Dan.

Lester L. Schneider passed away in September, 1970.

Bernice married Harold Hale June 4, 1975. He passed away March 22, 1982.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Carroll Lowe.

Bernice is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Ned Maryott of Britton, South Dakota; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Janet Schneider of Omaha; grandchildren, Dave Maryott and wife Patty of Britton, South Dakota, Richard Schneider Jr. and wife Carol of Denver, Colorado, Jan Dee Bauer and husband Richard of Omaha; also survived by three great-grandchildren, Jason Bauer of Omaha, Lindsay and Ashley Schneider of Denver; one sister, Irene Clements of Tekamah, sister-in-law Josephine Lowe of Ralston, Gladys Newton of Palisade, Colorado and Betty Peters of Lincoln, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bernice was a member of the United Methodist Church in Decatur. Services were held Saturday, July 18, 1987 at Campbell Funeral Home in Blair with Rev. Mel Vance officiating.

Graveside services were held in the Herman Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Gene Clements, Wilbur Clements, Kent Clements, Doug Gregerson, Derold Pageler and Al Pechnik.

Note: although she did have a 2nd husband, she is buried under the name Schneider in Herman, Nebraska. The tombstone had her date of death.
