MRS. C. ROHWER, OF CALHOUN, DIED LATE WEDNESDAY

Long Time County Resident Victim Of Paralysis

Mrs. Carl Rohwer of the Wranch school district, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 16th. She had been ill but a short time with pneumonia, but on Tuesday she suffered a stroke which probably hastened her death.

Mrs. Rohwer, as Mary Henrichsen, was born Oct. 27, 1868 in Dixon, Iowa. She was married on March 14, 1890 to Carl Rohwer, and for a number of years they farmed in the Summers school district northwest of Blair. Thirty two years ago they moved to the farm where both she and her husband died.

Seven children survive. They are Mrs. Otto Oleson of Ceresco, Nebraska; Mrs. Nels Anderson of Kennard; Kate and Henry at home; Claus and Harry on nearby farms and Carl in Omaha.

Besides these children she leaves eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also one sister, Mrs. Anna Moller of Wakefield, Nebraska; and three brothers, Henry Henrichsen of Blair; Dr. Louis Henrichsen of Omaha; and Will of Plattsmouth.

Funeral services, under the auspices of the Sievers Mortuary, will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Calhoun Presbyterian church, and interment will be made in Calhoun cemetery.

So closes life’s chapter of a woman who has filled her station well in life. A good wife and mother, always helpful to her neighbors and those in distress. Her name will be remembered and revered by those who knew her as long as time will last.
