Marilyn M. Rolland, 74, of Blair, died Friday, June 22, 2007, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services were Monday, June 25, at Blair’s United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Marilyn M. Simpson was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Blair, to Clarence and Ruby (Reeves) Simpson. She graduated from Blair High School in 1949.

She married Philip Rolland, her husband of 54 years, on June 7, 1953, in Blair.

She attended Dana College and worked as a librarian for the Blair Public Schools. She was a member of the P.E.O. and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, was an excellent seamstress, and a Nebraska Style Revue Champion.

She is survived by her husband Philip; sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Ania Rolland of Los Altos, Calif., and Curt and Suzette Rolland of Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Greg Schriner of Thornton Colo.; six grandchildren; and sister, Luella George of Papillion; and niece, Shirley Nance of Papillion.

Memorials are suggested to P.E.O., the Good Shepherd Home, or First United Methodist Church in Blair. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
