Pat Kimball, 56

Pat Kimball, 56, of Fremont, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 25, at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. A memorial visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont with full military honors conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post 854 and American Legion Post 20.

Pat Kimball was born Jan. 16, 1957, to Robert H. and Delores (Beem) Kimball in Wagner, S.D.

He moved to Arlington as a young child. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1975.

He served in the U.S. Army. After his military service, he lived in Fremont and worked at Keystone Design, Lincoln Grain, Valmont, Whitmer Welding Supplies for many years and Kern Cleaning.

He married Marla Sue Heller in September 1974 and they later divorced. On August 1, 1986, he married Verna J. Dooley.

Mr. Kimball loved making model cars, enjoyed automobiles and having family and friends close to him. He also enjoyed hunting and was a Husker fan.

He is survived by his wife, Verna; daughters: Stacy and husband Christopher Angus of Nebraska City, Laura Matya and financé Brian Hiltabidel of Underwood, Iowa, and Amanda Kimball and friend Will Gantzert of Fremont; father Robert and wife Phyllis Kimball of Fremont; mother Lori and husband Gary Meugniot of Ashland; brothers: Mike and wife Renee Kimball of Fremont, Bob and wife Dianne Kimball of Omaha and Tim and wife Cheri Kimball of Omaha; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents and aunts and uncles.
