WHIT CAMERON DIED WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Whit Cameron, well known Washington County farmer and stockman, died Wednesday night at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He had suffered a paralytic stroke and heart attack late last week.

Mr. Cameron was 72 years of age and had the unique distinction of having lived his entire life on the farm which was his home when he died. He was born there in 1892, grew to manhood there, made the place his home after his marriage and remained there during his later years.

He was married to Emily Van Valin in 1927 and to this union two sons were born. Joe Cameron now operates the home farm and Gene Cameron resides at Thousand Oaks, California. Mrs. Cameron also survives. There are five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the American Legion Hall in Herman with the Rev. Percy Bruns conducting the service.

WHIT CAMERON RITES HELD FEBR. 8th

Whit Cameron, son of the late Cara and Hattie Cameron, was born September 9, 1891 in a log cabin on the farm now occupied by his son, Joe, and family. He passed away February 6, 1964 at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

He attended school at Spiker and one year at Boyles Business College in Omaha. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Herman. He has always been interested in the feeding of cattle and the raising and feeding of hogs. Many cattle and hog sales were held on the Cameron farm, in which he was in partnership with his father and his brother, Mark (Mack) Cameron.

He was married March 1, 1928 to Emily Van Valin and to this union two sons, Joe and Gene, were born. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Emily; and sons, Joe of Herman and Gene of Thousand Oaks, California; five grandchildren, Kathy, David, Sue, Kay and Carey Cameron; one brother, Mack Cameron; three sisters, Mary Brodersen, Ruth Jackson and Sadie Brodersen, all of Herman.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Legion Hall in Herman with the Rev. Percy Bruns in charge. The Masonic Lodge and the American Legion had services at the cemetery. Burial was at the Herman Cemetery, under the direction of Hemmel and Peck of Tekamah.

Pallbearers were William and Jack Cameron, Charles J. Brodersen, Cameron Jackson, Riley and Malcolm Brodersen.
