CAMPBELL, LAWRENCE EUGENE, passed away July 15, 1998; he was born August 14, 1923 in Arlington, NB. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June; and his sister, Janice Lee Peters; and is survived by his sister, Phyllis E. De Laurant (Bernie); and four children, Douglas R. Campbell, Terrance P. Malloy, Dolores Shepard, and Peggy Patacek; and ten surviving grandchildren.

Retired from the U.S. Navy after thirty years of services as a Chief Machinist’s Mate; served on the USS Drayton, USS Helena, and USS Albamarl. Retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District as a Maintenance Supervisor. He served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Behavioral Health Services, Inc., for fifteen years; the last two ½ as Chairman of the Board. He served as a Member of the Board of The National Council of Alcohol and Other Drug Dependencies of The South Bay; was a member of the Masonic Lodge and VFW Post 11045 Torrance.

Viewing is scheduled for July 21 from 2pm – 8pm. Memorial services on July 22 at 11am with burial to follow. All at Green Hills Mortuary/ Memorial Park, 27501 South Western Avenue, San Pedro.

The Campbell family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the larry and June Campbell Memorial Fund for the Patterns Women and Children Program, c/o Behavioral Health Services, 15519 Crenshaw Boulevard, Gardena, Ca, 90249.
