MILFORD CAMPBELL DIED AT WORK AT VALMONT INDUSTRIES

Milford Raymond Campbell, known to many as “Mish” Campbell, died suddenly Thursday while at work at Valmont Industries at Valley, Nebraska. He was a machinist at Valmont.

Mr. Campbell was a lifelong resident of Blair. He was born here May 7, 1910, and would have been 63 years of age had he lived until his next birthday.

On April 4, 1932, he was married to LuZetta Kathryne Metzler, the wedding taking place at Blair. For a time the couple was engaged in farming but in recent years he had worked as a machinist in Valmont Industries at Valley.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Blair.

He is survived by his wife and by two sons and a daughter. The sons are Raymond and Melvin, both of Blair. The daughter is Mrs. Shirley Knight, also of Blair. A son Milford (Sonny) preceded his father in death.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Clark, of Blair and Laura Moore, also of Blair. There are two brothers, Leslie (Deb) of Blair and Howard of Tampa, Florida.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church in Blair Saturday afternoon, March 24th, with the Rev. Ray Phelps conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.
