Albert Petersen, Herman Farmer, Died Here Thurs.

Albert Petersen, a lifelong resident of Washington County, died at Memorial Community Hospital last Thursday. He was 75 years of age, having been born at Kennard November 17th, 1898.

He retired from active farming some time ago and he and Mrs. Petersen have been living in Herman. Mrs. Petersen was the former Laura Stokes, whose family is well known to old residents of the county.

Mr. Petersen is survived by his wife and by five sons and twelve grandchildren. He also has four brothers.

The sons are Earl Petersen of Springfield, Missouri; Don Petersen of Ogdensburg, New Jersey; Ralph Petersen of Wiggins, Mississippi; Clifford Petersen, of Omaha and Curtis Petersen of Kansas City.

The brothers are Edgar, of Osceola, Missouri; Carl of Bonesteel, South Dakota; Clarence of Omaha and Leonard of Blair.

Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church in Herman Saturday afternoon, September 28th. The Rev. Zack Kleinsasser conducted the service. Burial was made in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary in Blair.

Pallbearers were Wayne Miller, Elmer Anderson, Lee Hansen, Frank Korshoj, Howard Laughlin and Kenneth Kubie. The Honorary Pallbearers were Waldo Hancock, Gordon Lowe, George Hansen, Fred Weaver, William Rasmussen, Alfred Erickson.
