Arnold William Petersen

Services for Arnold William Petersen, 73, of Blair, who died Monday, December 16, 1985, at the Montclair Nursing Home in Omaha, will be today (Thursday, December 19) at 10:30 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kurt Sortland and Rev. Carl Schattauer, Jr., will officiate and burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Petersen was born October 7, 1912, the son of Alfred and Clara Petersen of Herman. He attended school at Hill Creek.

Petersen married Kathryn Lenox on November 2, 1940, in Blair. He worked for Tyson and Long Trucking and Denver Chicago Trucking. He then went into a partnership with Kenneth Hineline for A and K Auto repairs. He retired in 1978.

He was a member of the Blair Eagles.

Survivors include his wife of Blair; two daughters, Mrs. Vern (Constance) Stessman and Mrs. Jim (Yvonne) Rowlette, both of Omaha; one sister, Violet Kindler of Glendale, California; one brother, Hubert Petersen of Fremont; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Kenneth Hineline, Wendell Homes, Robert Siert, George Jipp, Jerry Foley and Jerome Jenny.

Organist is Clare Cowing.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.
