Petersen, Mrs. Lars

Mrs. Lars Petersen died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Olson, at Herman, Neb., Tuesday, December 4, 1923 after a short illness. Bertha Christine Hansen was born in Tyu, Denmark, August 25, 1849. She was 74 years, 3 months and 9 days old at the time of her death. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon, Rev. Lang, of Blair, officiating. She was married to Lars Petersen, of Herman where she resided until her death. At a very early age she united with the Lutheran church of which she has always been a faithful member. She is survived by her husband, five daughters, and son and eleven grandchildren. The daughters are Mrs. Herman Kjeldgaard, of Brush, Colorado, Mrs. Chris Kuse, Mrs. Ed Olsen, Mrs. Nels Rasmussen and Mrs. Alfred Petersen, all of Herman and the son, Thorald Petersen, of Herman. She also leaves two brothers, H.P. Hansen, of St. Liberty, Nebr., and Fnark* Hansen, of Tekamah.
