Dean E. Petersen, 63

Funeral Services for Dean E. Petersen, 62, who died March 23, 1990 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha of complications following cancer surgery, were held at 10:30 Monday, March 26, 1990 at the Herman Legion Hall in Herman, with burial in the Herman Cemetery. Rev. Larry Orvis officiated.

Dean E. Petersen was born August 24, 1927 in Winslow, Nebraska to Emil and Rose Larsen Petersen. He grew up in the Hooper-Winslow area and graduated from Hooper High School. He farmed in the Herman area for 41 years.

He was a member of the Herman Federated Church, served in the United States Armed Forces and was a member of the Herman American Legion Post.

He married Charlotte Hardy on December 15, 1948 I Hooper. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, (Mrs. Gale) Gloria Peterson of Herman, (Mrs. Don) Diane Livermore of Kimberling, Missouri and (Mrs. Mitch) Connie Olson of Tekamah; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Larson of Fremont and Mrs. Bertha Olson of Uehling; a brother Victor Petersen of Scribner and four grandchildren.
