Services Thursday for Edna Petersen

Edna G. Petersen, a resident of Beenview Plaza, Bennington, Nebraska died in Omaha, June 18, 1984. She was born in Irvington in Washington County, November, 19, 1906, the daughter of George and Amanda Huber nee’ Borup, old settlers in the county. She attended District No, 25 School in Washington County through the 10th grade and graduated from Omaha South High School in 1924. She then taught school in District No. 63 in Douglas County from 1925-26. She married Arthur Petersen on December 26, 1926.

She left surviving her husband Arthur of Bennington; three sons Dr. A. Gene Petersen and Dr. Gerald Petersen of Leawood, Kansas and Clark Petersen of Renton, Washington and one daughter, Mrs. Edna Mae Jamsgard of Phoenix, Arizona and 11 grandchildren.

In addition to those relatives, she left surviving two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Mary) Gottsch of Elkhorn and Mrs. Harry (Bernice) Lund of Fort Calhoun and one brother, Walter G. Huber of Blair. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frederick, Frank and Clark Huber and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Pauline) Peterson and Bertha Huber.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington at 1 p.m.
