Former Herman Man Died at Sioux Falls

Lester Schneider, a former Herman resident who has lived at Sioux Fall, S.D. for a number of years, died in a hospital there Wednesday, Sept. 30th. He was the Assistant Manager of the Champlin Oil Co. there.

Lester Lyle Schneider was born October 26th, 1910 at Foster, Nebraska and was 59 years of age at the time of his death. As a younger man he had lived in the Herman area.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice, and by a son, Richard, of Denver, Colorado. A daughter, Mrs. Ned Maryott, lives at Amherst, South Dakota and his mother, Mrs. Nels Hansen, resides at Mead, Nebraska. A sister, Mrs. Glen Newton, resides at Joplin, Missouri, and another sister, Mrs. Bernie Peters, lives at Lincoln. There are three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Herman Baptist Church at 2:30 Friday afternoon with the Rev. Zack Kleinsasser conducting the service. Burial was made in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.
