Petersen, Anna Brodersen

FORMER BLAIR GIRL PASSES

Friends and relatives of Mrs. Ole Petersen, of Laurel, Nebraska were grieved to learn of her death, Tuesday noon, in a Sioux City hospital following the birth of a son, by a Caesarian operation.

Mrs. Petersen is better known to Blair people, where she has lived practically all her life as Miss Anna Bertelsen. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Bertelsen, of this city and a sister of Martin Bertelsen, of the White City Café and Sena Bertelsen, teacher in the city schools. There is also a sister Ella, wife of Rev. Anderson, of Racine, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Petersen had been in the hospital at Sioux City for about two weeks, going there upon advice of her physician as her health had been failing for some time.

She was married about a year and a half ago to Mr. Ole Petersen, who with the infant son, survives her. They lived on a farm near Laurel. The body will be brought to Blair this noon and service held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Danish Lutheran church. Burial will be made at Laurel, Nebr. on Friday, Sept. 5.

The deceased grew to womanhood in this city and was 43 years old at the time of her death. She was a faithful member of the Danish Lutheran church and a willing worker in the young people’s society. Her manner was quiet and unassuming and she was greatly beloved by all who knew her. She made many friends while clerking in one of the dry goods stores in this city by her pleasant and accommodating ways and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
