Fred D. Petersen Died at Bennington

Fred D. Petersen, a one-time resident of the Washington area in the south part of this county, will be buried tomorrow (Friday) at 2 P.M. from St. John’s Lutheran church in Bennington. He was well known to many in this area, having lived and farmed in the south part of the county many years before moving to Bennington. He was also an ardent baseball fan and player as a young man.

Mr. Petersen is a brother of Mrs. Henry A. Peterson, of Blair and the Misses Christine and Emma Petersen, all of Fremont. His wife, Emma, as well as sons Norman and Irvin, of Omaha and Elmer and Orville, of Bennington. There are also 11 grandchildren.

Mr. Petersen, known to many as ‘Old 76’ had been ill for some time prior to his death.

Services Friday, 2 p.m., from St. Johns Lutheran Church, Bennington. Interment Prairie View Cemetery. Hadan Mortuary.
