FORMER BLAIR MAN DIES IN WASHINGTON

Edgar W. Rose, 98, of Quincy, Washington died Friday, May 15, 1981, in Crestview Nursing Home, Moses Lake.

He was born March 15, 1883 in Washington County, Nebraska. He married Anna Barry on October 11, 1912 in Winnebago, Nebraska. They made their home in Blair, Nebraska until 1939 when they moved to Ellensburg, where he worked as a mechanic until his retirement. He moved to Quincy in 1969, where he resided until his death.

He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hal (Rita) Howell, Quincy; three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and four sisters.

Mass of the Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Pius X Catholic Church, Quincy with Fr. Gerald Corrigan as celebrant. Interment was at 2 p.m. Monday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Ellensburg.

Memorials are suggested to Northwest Kidney Center, 700 Broadway, Seattle, Washington.

EDGAR ROSE DIES FRIDAY IN WASHINGTON

Word has been received of the death of Edgar Rose of Quincy, Washington on Friday, May 15, 1981. Mr. Rose was 98 years of age.

He is survived by one daughter, Rita, and three granddaughters.

Mr. Rose was a former resident of Blair. He has a number of relatives here in Blair.
