Mabel M. Rose, 88, of Blair, died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Services were Monday, Jan. 18, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel in Blair. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Mabel Mae Rose was born on March 6, 1910, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Charles and Lillian (Peterson) Bishop.

She lived in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area, Herman and Blair. She spent the last 4 ½ years as a resident of Good Shepherd Home.

She worked for the J. L. Brandeis Company, Union Pacific Railroad and St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha.

She is survived by children and their spouses, Byron and Betty Spencer of Cyril, Okla., Charles and Lola Spencer of Cement, Okla., Donald Spencer of Garden Grove, Calif., Mary Dixon of Omaha, Larry and Sally Davis of Carroll, Iowa, Jim and Diane Davis, of Omaha, Judy and Curtis Schmidt of Blair, Vickie and John Drozek of Omaha, Freda Davis of Omaha, Reynold Reed of Omaha and John and Lynn Schutze of Omaha; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Katherine Hackley of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Vera Peterson of Sacramento, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three daughters, two brothers and four sisters.

Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Home in Blair. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
