FARMER DIES SUDDENLY IN THE FIELD

MELVIN ROSENBAUM DIES WHILE RESTING AFTER EATING LUNCH

Melvin Rosenbaum, 42 year old Kennard farmer, died suddenly about 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon while resting briefly after working in the field. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

He was in the field on his farm windrowing oats and his wife Erma had taken lunch to him. Shortly after they had eaten together, he suddenly died just before she left to return to Kennard where the Rosenbaums operate the Midway Café.

Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Bill 17, and Sharron, 13; also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jap Rosenbaum and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Stewart (Ruth Jane) of Spiker and Mrs. Ivan R. Anderson (Enid) of Kennard.

Mr. Rosenbaum has lived in the Kennard vicinity his entire life where he had always engaged in farming.

The body was taken to the Campbell Mortuary in Blair. A complete obituary will appear in The Enterprise next week.
