Former Kennard resident Phyllis Rosenbaum, 57, of Fremont, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Kennard auditorium with Chaplain Joe Brown of Fremont Area Medical Center officiating. There is no visitation.

Phyllis Rosenbaum was born Sept. 26, 1946, in Bloomfield to Lloyd and Cecil (Smith) Trudell. She grew up in Nebraska, and for several years lived in Kennard.

She married Rodney Rosenbaum in 1967. The couple owned and operated the Dew Drop Inn in Kennard from 1980 until 1992. For the past several years, she was employed at the Rose Room in Fremont.

She is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Rhonda and Kevin Carpenter of Plattsmouth, and Val Rosenbaum of Kennard; a son and daughter-in-law, Brice and Angela Rosenbaum of Arlington; former husband, Rodney Rosenbaum of Kennard; six grandchildren; four sisters and five brothers; Sandra, Johnny, Roger, Edna, Joe, Denise, Rodney, Tim and Shelli; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
